Adding the data source

Requirements

  • Administrator permissions for the Criteo ad account

Instructions

1) Log into your Criteo account

2) If you haven't already, create your organization

3) Go to the profile page and, at the bottom, in Products, select "Developer Portal"

4) In the upper right corner, select "Create a new app"

5) Give a name to your App, like "Kondado App" and, below, click on "Create app"

6) In “Choose an authentication method”, select “Client credentials"

7) On the next page (Service), select “C-Growth and Marketing Solutions"

8) On the next sectionset the "Read" option for all lines and click on "Activate app"

9) On the next page, navigate to the "App credentials" section, click on "Create new key" and save the generated file on your computer

10) On the same page, go to the upper right corner and click on “Generate new URL”

11) A URL will appear on the page, copy it using the button on the right

12) If you also have administrator access to the Criteo ad account, open this URL in a new Tab. If someone else has this access, send the URL to them

13) When the person who receives the URL accesses it, just scroll to the end of the page, in "Portfolio access" select the accounts you want to grant access to and then click on "Approve"

14) Once access is authorized, log into Kondado, go to the add data sources section and select the Criteo data source

15) In the data source, in "Name" give a name to your data source and, in "Client ID" and "Client Secret" paste the values obtained in the txt from step (8)

16) Now just click SAVE and start receiving Criteo data in the Data Warehouse or Data Lake

Attention: 

- The generated client id can take up to 15 minutes to be activated by Criteo. So, after saving, wait this period to click on "TEST CONNECTION" and start creating pipelines

 - The connection test will only return success if the generated app is authorized for at least 1 advertiser
