Creating the data source

Requirements

  • X Ads (Twitter Ads) advertiser account with at least one active ad account

Instructions

  1. In Kondado, click "Add Connection" and select "X Ads".
  2. You will be redirected to X (Twitter) to authorize access. Log in with your account that has access to the ad accounts.
  3. After authorizing, you will be redirected back to Kondado.
  4. Create a new pipeline and select the ad accounts, entities (campaigns, ad groups, etc.), metrics and segmentations you want.
  5. Configure the time granularity and the update window.

Parameters:

  • Segmentation: Adds an extra dimension to segment the metrics. Options: Age, Gender, Languages, Locations, Regions, Platforms, Platform Versions, Devices, Interests, Conversations, Conversion Tags, Tailored Audiences, Events. Leave blank for no segmentation.
  • Update window (days): Number of days to look back and update on each run. Recommended: 7 days to capture delayed attribution conversions.
  • Ad placements: Defines where ads were displayed. Options: Twitter (ads shown on Twitter), Audience Platform (ads shown on partner apps and websites).
  • Time grouping: Defines the time granularity of the data. Options: Hour (hourly metrics), Day (daily metrics), Week (weekly metrics), Month (monthly metrics).
  • Read start date: Date from which data will be extracted. Data available from 07/14/2015.
  • Ad accounts: Select the ad accounts to extract data from. Leave blank to fetch all available accounts.
  • Detail level: Defines the data aggregation level. Options: Account (aggregated by account), Funding Source (by payment source), Campaign (by campaign), Ad Group (by ad group/line item), Promoted Tweet (by promoted tweet), Organic Tweet (by organic tweet).
