Your First Pipeline: Step-by-Step Guide

I created my Kondado account — now what?

As soon as you create your account, Kondado takes you straight to the Welcome page. This is where everything starts.

Kondado Welcome page with source grid

On this screen you'll see a grid of the most popular sources: Meta Ads, Google Ads, RD Station CRM, Shopify, Google Analytics 4, and more. If the source you need isn't highlighted, click "See all connectors" to explore all 80+ available options.

From here, the onboarding step-by-step guide will walk you through everything — just follow the on-screen instructions. Let's see how it works using RD Station CRM as an example.

Step 1: Choose and configure your source

Click the source you want — in our example, RD Station CRM. The onboarding will open a modal with instructions specific to that connector:

RD Station CRM connector setup instructions

Each source has its own authentication method. For RD Station CRM, you need a Personal Token (generated in your RD Station CRM profile). The instructions show exactly where to find it.

After reading the instructions, click "Continue" and fill in the form with your credentials:

Configuration form with Token field
💡 Tip: The "see how to obtain this value" link next to the field always shows where to find the credential in the source system. If in doubt, click it!

Step 2: Test the connection

When you save the credentials, Kondado automatically tests the connection to the source system:

Connection test in progress

If the credentials are correct, you'll see the confirmation:

Connection successful
⚠️ If the test fails: Double-check your credentials and make sure you have admin access on the source system. Go back to the form, fix it, and test again.

Step 3: Choose what to do with your data

With the source configured, now you choose the destination for your data and, optionally, a ready-made report template:

Destination and template selection screen

You have 3 destination options:

Destination Best for
Power BI, Looker Studio or a similar tool Dashboards and visual reports
Google Sheets Quick spreadsheet analysis
Data Warehouse or Data Lake Large volumes, advanced analytics (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Kondado also offers ready-made report templates — pre-configured dashboards for Power BI or Looker Studio. In the example, the "RD Station CRM Power BI Template" already includes the key RD Station CRM metrics.

💡 Recommendation: For your first test, pick a report template — it creates the destination, pipelines, and dashboard automatically. No manual configuration needed.

Step 4: Wait for automatic setup

When you choose a template, Kondado creates everything for you automatically: destination, pipelines, and the dashboard. You'll see the progress on screen:

Report creation in progress

The system creates one pipeline for each entity (table) in the source:

Automatic pipeline creation

When it's done, you'll see the confirmation:

Pipelines created — loading data
⏱️ Important: the first run can take a while. Depending on your source's data volume, the first load can take anywhere from a few minutes to several days. This is normal — not an error. Kondado is downloading your entire data history for the first time. Subsequent runs will be much faster, processing only new data. You'll receive an email when everything is ready.

How do I know it worked?

Go to the Pipelines screen and check the status of each one:

Active pipelines list
  • ● Green = Completed — the pipeline ran and data reached the destination.
  • ▬▬▬ Running — the first load is in progress. You'll see a blue progress bar. Wait for the confirmation email.
✅ All green? Congratulations! Your first pipeline is working and your data will update automatically.

Next Steps

Now that your first pipelines are running, you can:

  • Connect more sources — repeat the onboarding flow for other sources (Google Ads, Shopify, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Explore the dashboard — when the email arrives, open the Power BI or Looker Studio link with all metrics ready to go.
  • Create custom pipelines — after your first pipeline, the "Create +" button appears in the top menu. Use it to create pipelines with manual settings (name, frequency, specific entities).
  • Invite your team — in Manage → Users, add colleagues to your account.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card to try it out?
No! The 14-day free trial does not require a credit card.
How many sources can I set up during the trial?
As many as you want. Connect multiple sources and create as many pipelines as you need.
How long until my data appears?
The first load can take minutes to days, depending on data volume. Kondado emails you when ready. Subsequent runs are faster.
What if I don't want a report template?
If you choose just the destination (no template), your pipelines are still created — just without the pre-built dashboard. Configure it manually in Power BI or Looker Studio later.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your pipelines are automatically paused. Data and settings are preserved. To continue, simply choose a plan.
Do I need to know how to code?
Not at all! Kondado is zero code. All configuration is visual and guided.
